While I’m busy learning Objective-C for the Lighthouse Labs application process, it’s going to be challenging trying to build an app, while learning new stuff and keeping up with a blog post update. So i’ll keep this one short and two the point.
I first discovered the “Hug Deli” when I saw this video about Burning Man. I thought it was fun and super silly, which is right up my alley. When I was reminded of their menu, and I was scratching my head over what to build next – this made the most sense, so Hug Deli Menu app it is!
To construct it, I was thinking of following the same format as my previous apps before, with some control flow, but then as I was storyboarding the app, I was thinking it’s pretty restrictive trying to build this in a one page app and connecting more view controllers to it, so shouldn’t there be a tabbed view?
I got around to playing with creating a tabbed view app, but it required a bit more of a learning curve so I decided to scale back my ambitions because of time constraints.
Below is my interpretation of the Hug Deli Menu app!
Next time I’ll try to make it more complex and maybe filled with some fun easter eggs…
